Mary MacKillop Chapel – North Sydney

Mary MacKillop was an Australian Roman Catholic nun who founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart and a number of schools and welfare institutions in Australia.

Pope Benedict XVI prayed at her tomb during his visit to Sydney for World Youth Day in 208 and in October 2010 she was canonised during a public ceremony in St Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

The chapel is very close to my office, and this article shows some of my photographs of the chapel and statues.
