Kids Prom Concert – August 5th @ St Ives

An excellent way to introduce children (and adults for that matter) to the riches of classical music is hearing music live.  The Kuringai Philharmonic Orchestra‘s annual Kids Prom concert is an opportunity for young people to hear music performed live and be allowed to mingle with the orchestra players.

This year is the 40th anniversary of KPO and this year the orchestra is combined with musicians from the Kuringai Youth Orchestra (players aged 14 to 22).

There are two concerts on 5th August 2012 at St Ives High School – 2pm and 3.30pm.  Tickets are $10 and you can book by following this link.  I have already booked tickets for the 3.30pm performance.
