Every year I take some time to review the past 12 months and plan the year ahead. I use the book Best Year Yet by Jenny Ditzler which has an easy to use process and a list of ten questions. Here are the ten questions.
At the end of the article I include links to the Best Year Yet website which has a free online workshop where you can work through these questions and make 2014 your best!
Your Best Year Yet! Ten Questions for Making the next 12 months your most successful ever. Jinny S. Ditzler © 1994
The Best Year Yet has an exercise of answering ten simple questions to help clarify your thinking and make sure your next year is the best it can be. After answering these questions you produce a list of ten major goals to apply your focus and energy.
The ten questions are used to review the previous twelve months:
1. What did I accomplish?
2. What were my biggest disappointments?
3. What did I learn?
4. How do I limit myself, and how can I stop?
5. What are my personal values?
6. What roles do I play in my life?
7. Which role is my major focus for the next year?
8. What are my goals for each role?
9. What are my top ten goals for the next year?
10. How can I make sure I achieve them?
