  1. I am extremely skeptical about the predictions for 2050 and 2100; there is simply not enough arable land to support those populations. We only have about 50 days worth of food now (for first world countries). So if those projections can come to pass, there would be some sort of exponential food production increase necessary.

Note too that all the “experts” (e.g. Tim Flannery) decry that a sustainable level would be around two (2) billion. You do the math … Logan’s Run? Soylent Green?

I do NOT envy my children and grandchildren … especially when I see idiots at the malls with 3, 4, 5 or more children in tow … clueless for sure.

  2. The Philippines is the 13th densely populated country in the world with a population of 106 million plus. The result of my research after reading your blog, I learned that 354 people would be occupying one square kilometer of our land area. Comparing it with your country which has a population of only 24 million, there would only be 3:people occupying every one square kilometer of the country’s land area.

I am no longer surprised why Philippines is categorized as a 3rd world country or should I say 5th world? I shudder at the thought of the future!

This article triggered me to learn more and research, thank you for all this information.
